OPERATION 36

Operation 36 is the ACT preparation, tutoring, and college application support program sponsored by CAP and GOWN at our partner high schools. Improved ACT scores could mean tens of thousands of dollars of scholarships for our scholars. Through Operation 36, students meet 2-3 times a week for ACT prep lessons, practice testing, leadership training, and individualized tutoring with Huntsville City Schools faculty. Our goal is for all participating students to grow at least three points on their composite score between the fall semester of their junior and senior year, and score at least 21 or higher on their ACT by December of their senior year.

Virtual ACT Tutoring Schedule

ACT Lessons will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5pm with an additional office hour immediately following for further practice, questions, and support from 5-6pm.

Virtual Operation 36 is open to any HCS student. To access the live Zoom classes, email Ms. Heller at emily@capandgownproject.org. Current CAP & GOWN students should receive the log in information from Ms. Heller and their teacher coach via email, GroupMe, remind, etc.
