I Graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor's in human services. I am now a part of the Amazon cooperate team as an Operations Manager. CAP & GOWN exposed me to the idea of going to college. Prior to going on the CAP & GOWN college tours, college wasn’t a thought for me because I did not know how I would afford it. Taking all those college trips and meeting all different kinds of people broadened my view of the many opportunities I could have by attending college. I would tell any current student to take advantage of those college tours and learn as much information as you can. Stay open minded about your school choices and really think about the possibilities. To the donors I would say, the college tours and the all work CAP & GOWN is doing may not get the type of attention it needs, but I can attest from my personal experience: it is necessary. CAP & GOWN is giving kids who may not have had college as a thought the opportunity to explore and get exposure to things outside of their environment
